Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your family's data.

What we collect

  • Account info: your email and name (from Google / Facebook / magic link sign-in).
  • Parent profile: name, phone number, living situation, hobbies, health notes, medications, dietary preferences, topics-to-avoid, and community members — all provided by you.
  • Call data: audio transcripts and structured summaries of each daily check-in call with your parent.
  • Setup-call booking: the time you selected for your 30-minute onboarding call.

How we use it

  • Place daily check-in calls to your parent.
  • Send you (and additional recipients you list) a brief summary after each call by email.
  • Improve the bot’s warmth and accuracy. We read summaries during beta to tune the system.

What we DO NOT do

  • No selling your data. Ever. Not to advertisers, insurers, or anyone else.
  • No surveillance. The bot never reports neutral conversations as “concerns.” Only urgent signals (explicit safety statements) reach you.
  • No medical advice. InKin is a companion service, not a healthcare provider.
  • No training on your data without consent. Call transcripts are never used to train third-party models.
  • No transcripts in summary emails. Email summaries contain a structured CallSummary and a bounded evidence quote at most — never the verbatim transcript.

Storage and security

Data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security policies that scope every read and write to your family’s own rows. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Service providers used:

  • Supabase (database, auth)
  • Twilio / Exotel (telephony)
  • Anthropic, Deepgram, ElevenLabs (call understanding + voice)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Vercel (web hosting)

Your rights

  • Access: ask us at hello@inkin.ai for a copy of everything we have on your family.
  • Deletion: use the “Reset onboarding data” link on /onboard/reset for a quick wipe of your profile, or email us for full account deletion.
  • Correction: edit any field via the onboarding flow at any time.

Children

InKin is intended for use by adults (18+) caring for aging parents. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We’ll email beta families before any material change to this policy. Continued use after the change date means you accept the update.
